How Team4Runner Started

Well, it was a cloudy winter day in South Dakota… Just kidding. When Isaac first got his drivers license there was only 1 thing on his mind: time to buy a 4runner. The thing was though, budgets were tight. In the spring of 2008, at 14yrs old he picked up a 4Runner; 1996 Limited for $1500. After a few months of some serious sweat equity the 4Runner got new AT tires, a roof rack, subwoofer and a whole window full of stickers.

Before all this, he grew up 4wheeling in the Colorado mountains with his Dad and family. His dad was and still is the biggest Toyota guy you’ll ever meet. His dad being the car enthusiast he is, Isaac was always around cars. And to this day, nothing's changed. Alright, back to Team4Runner.

Fast forward to summer of 2013. Five Toyotas later (1996 4Runner, 1997 4Runner, 2002 Tacoma, 2001 4Runner, 2002 4Runner), it was time to start a dedicated page where years of photos could live. So, with the help from his buddies, Isaac started an Instagram page called, you guessed it, Team4Runner. The rest is history…

Not quite. Team4Runner officially became a project in college, opening up opportunities to travel, create content, create and sell apparel and ultimately purchase a 2016 4Runner TRD Pro which would be the true start to a career completely dedicated to the Toyota, 4Runner and outdoor industry.

Nearly 10 years later Team4Runner has helped launch several off-road, community oriented socially responsible events. Influence and bring Toyota news and media to the community. Create content that truly explores that capability of what our 4Runners can do, on and off the trails. And so much more. Thanks for being a part of it!
